Effective Date: August 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how RoomAid ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the RoomAid app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. RoomAid does not have username and password sign-in. You sign in with Apple or with Google, and RoomAid receives a unique account identifier from that provider and stores it so we can recognize you next time. RoomAid does not store your password, and RoomAid does not store your email address. Inside the App you choose a display name, which is stored encrypted.
Household content. The things you create in the App: status updates, tasks, calendar entries, shopping and list items, and the names you give rooms, pets and household items.
Device information. A device identifier and device name, so you can see where you are signed in and sign a device out. If you turn on notifications, we also store a push notification token for that device.
Support and feedback. If you send feedback or answer a survey in the App, we store what you wrote, along with your app version, operating system version, device model, language and time zone.
Server logs. Our servers keep standard web server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Sign-in providers. Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple, and Apple lets you hide your real email address. RoomAid also includes Google's Sign-In library so you can use a Google account. According to Google's own privacy disclosure for that library, it may collect your name, email address, phone number, coarse location, device and user identifiers, and usage data, and may use some of it for Google's analytics. That collection is Google's, not ours. RoomAid never asks for your phone number, requests no location permission, and cannot receive your location.
RoomAid does not show ads, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and includes no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting software of its own.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain the functionality of the App.

3. How We Share Your Information

4. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

Encrypted backups of our database are kept for up to 30 days before they expire. If you would rather have us do it, you can also write to us at the address in Section 8.
6. Children's Privacy
